The blog’s name comes from a quote by Mae West: Keep a diary and one day it’ll keep you.
I kinda like that. I always have thought that I’m writing this for someone…some unknown identity, be that the ‘persona’ my computer has taken over, or that openness that I feel as I’m writing. Someone that wants to see this down on paper, wants everything to be recorded.
Right now, I don’t do much looking back - I write to help myself move forward. But one day I could see myself reading all of this, remembering where I came from, what I’ve been through, and using that to help me along. In a way - it will keep me.
So my blog is Keeping Me In. Keeping me sane by letting me express all of that stuff I can’t express any other way, keeping it in a contained, restrained environment of my computer screen. I let it all out here - truly keeping it in here - not needing to let it happen out there.
Yes, other people can read this, but it really is my own personal pensive. Releasing my thoughts until I need them later. Because, as Mae West says - someday I will.

I know, I know, “BamBam” is a rather weird nickname. The story behind it isn’t very complicated - I’m a klutz. I can trip over anything, from the carpet to my own feet. I’m just not too safe around myself.
My friends named me BamBam after I fell one too many times, and the name just stuck. I suppose hearing it screamed at you over, and over again in front of everyone you know does help things along.
So, StephanieBamBam it is. At least it’s a lot more original than bobbi, right?

I’ve been working and playing online for a long time now (well over ten years), and have wonderful memories of my life (or, you could say lives) online. I met some of my best friends online, and also had my heart broken more than once due to either relationships or situations that evolved online. I can truly say that the Internet has changed my life, and I only expect that to contnue happening.
Currently, I am between jobs - I recently left my previous position, and am in the process of moving to California to start a new one. This blog focuses on my life - my personal life - and touches very little on specifics involving my work. So if you’re interested in the random blabberings of an internet addictedsingle girl moving to California - you’ve come to the right place. But technology and industry analysis…you won’t find that here. That’s my job. This is my fun place.
